We are happy to announce the next event in our Reading the Cinema series, which will focus on the cinematic works of the legendary French filmmaker, Chris Marker. Our guest speaker, Gülşah Altuğ, an academic, a film critic and writer, will lead the discussion and exploration of Marker's masterpiece, Sans Soleil. The event will be held in Turkish.

"Sans Soleil is a film that reflects on memory, forgetfulness, and moments that are etched in our minds. Through the use of memory images from the past, present, and future, the film breaks the boundaries of time. The filmmaker's essay-like notes, accompanied by striking visuals and sounds, offer a fresh perspective to the audience. The result is a beautiful, poetic experience that lingers long after the film ends."
